Bureau will need five years of data, but may not be able to quantify impacts.
The Bureau of Stats is undertaking a cost analysis of implementing National Aboriginal Day as a statutory holiday in the Yukon.
This past June 21st was the creation of the stat holiday, which was one of the first accomplishments of the new Liberal government.
However, the analysis will require a minimum of five years of data to find trends and account for fluctuations in the data.
Yet this study may not reveal the benefits or the impact to performance to an added day off.
