Two Children petitioned the Teslin Tling'it Council for the play area.
Children in the Fox Point Subdivision of Teslin now have a new playground.
The Teslin Tling'it Council held a grand opening ceremony Wednesday.
The First Nation says the playground came together after two children wrote to Chief and Council, asking if a park could be built for the children living in the subdivision.
A local resident donated the parcel of land.
The playground features a saucer, swing, zipline, slide and large play structure. Local leaders say the playground is positive for the community as it gets children outside.
