The Outcomes of Elections were tallied last night across Yukon
Whitehorse City Elections went down last night and CHON News was in council chambers as the results came in from the various polls around the capital.
Mayor Dan Curtis is the first Mayor since elections were first held in 1950 to have won three terms as the Mayor of the City of Whitehorse.
He succeeded in toppling Rick Karp by about 900 votes.
On Council, Jan Stick led the pack with over 3400 votes. She returns to the chamber and brings her campaign wingman, Steve Roddick into the remodeled council as well, Laura Cabott is successful in acquiring a seat.
Returning to council will be Samson Hartland, Jocelyn Courteanu and (Dan Boyd) fills the last seat.
Betty Irwin and Roslyn Woodcock are knocked out of their positions on council, while Danny MacDonald was just a few hundred below the mark.
Moving around in the territory, first to Watson Lake, Gateway to the Yukon.
Cheryl O'Brien will take the seat as Mayor, ousting incumbent Justin Brown.
Cheryl will serve the community alongside a 4 person council of Lauren Hanchar, Erin Labonte, Colleen Craft and Chris Irvin.
The Village of Carmacks has chosen Maroy and Council, with incumbent Lee Bodie reclaiming his position as Mayor. George Skookum, Tara Wheeler, Lorraine Graham, Helena Belanger will share the council chambers with Lee.
In Teslin a new Mayor has been declared after the battle of Gord Curran and Jean-Michel Harvey gave the edge to Gord Curran.
Denise Johnston, Trevor Sallis and Juanita Kremer form 3/4 of council, while former Mayor, Clara Jules has successfully attained a council seat as well.
Results for the town of Faro rolled in just moments ago, delayed due to a draw betwen mayoral candidates.
Both Jack Bowers and Leonard Faber had 86 counted for them.
But Leonard Faber has been declared the winner by Returning Officer pursuant to Section 127 of the Municipal Act. Which in short means, they drew from the 2 names out of a hat.
Tina Freake, Lisa Snyder, Cheryl Stubbs, Pat McCracken and Sarah Piercey will join Mr. Faber in serving Faro. A recount confirmed these results.
The 6 seats on Council for Haines Junction have yet to be confirmed at news time, while Thomas Eckervogt had already been acclaimed as Mayor.
Dawson City has acclaimed Wayne Potoroka as mayor and councilors Stephen Johnson, Molloy Shore, Natasha Ayoub and Bill Kendricks as their council.
And in the heart of the Yukon council for Mayo has been acclaimed as Joann Aird, Trevor Ellis, Richard Ewing and Blair Andre.
They will lead Mayo along with Mayor Scott Bolton.
