Yukon Native Language Center Launches Digital Archive

Language centre amalgamates packets of historical information

The entire language material assets collected by the Yukon Native Language Centre at Ayamdigut Campus in Whitehorse has been added online.

it was a massive undertaking with over 10,000 pages, countless hours of audio recordings and 8 official languages, some which have alternate dialects.

Krista Dempster is the language curriculum developer with the Language centre and has worked with a team to find, collect and scan the material.
